I've got an account with Schedules Direct and MP 1.0.2. MP works fine but I finally brought in a net connection to the HTPC and now I cannot figure out how to actually grab the schedules.

The manual talks about WebEPG but the config for that doesn't appear to have anyplace for login information.

xmlTV appears as a plugin but again, no login information for the service.

the SchedulesDirect plugin crashes and says its supposed to be run from inside the TV server setup (which is where I run it from) but I see it hasn't been updated since 2007 so I assume its a dead project

Searching for EPG here returns a bazillion hits and none seem to apply (spent the last few hours searching and trying different things).

Can someone toss a guy a bone? Or is EPG from SchedulesDirect just not doable in the stable version?

Hi PatM,

I have a little EPG program, and I would be happy to help try and get it running for you.

If you want to PM me some more details on exactly how you get your xmltv data, I can probably help you with setup.

Link is https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/xmltv-137/re-launch-mp-epg-downloader-70198/

You need to use MC2XML free utility to pull the guide from Schedules Direct.
Then it will auto load into XMLTV plugin.
Then you need to map the MP channels to the guide channels.
Done.
I have a post somewhere on the forum that gives all the details.

Thanks Moab! Once I found the mc2xml website the rest was pretty easy (they have Mediaportal setup instructions).

The only issue I have now (and have always had) is that typing a channel on the remote always gives me the next channel up e.g. inputting 45 tunes to 46.

hehe I am glad it isn't just me that has this issue. hopefully there is a way to change it so that when you type in the number it actually matches the channel

I do not have this problem.
It sounds like your channel numbers got out of whack somehow.
I would take a look in TV server config channels, then verify the issue using preview.
Once confirmed then renumber the channel.
I would start from the bottom so you don't get a channel number conflict.
