compress can't see any recordings (1 Viewer)

I have installed 1.0rc2 "plainly" that is no special settings in any way.

When I record a tvshow, I can play the .ts recording normally, and for alle purposes the recordings are there, except when I try to compress.
In earlier versions of MP I could see and select the recordings I wanted to compress, but after 1.0 I can no longer see a list to choose from.

Have anyone a clue as to what is gone wrong ?
