I use a COMPRO card, so yes it will most likely work as good as my card... Just note:

    1) The remote that comes with it might not work...I use the Microsoft MCE remote.
    2) Until DVB-T becomes available in SA you will only be able to use it in analog tuner.
    3) MediaPortal only supports hardware MPEG-2. 1 & 4 only works with the native COMPRO software.
    4) If you are planning to link your DSTV-decoder you will need a remote with IR-transmitter to change channels on your decoder.
    5) You will have to download the EPG-guide in XMLTV format, and import it every two weeks.

I'm just looking at getting one of these cards for a MediaPortal box. Any update on compatability with this card? TJ, did you get it going?

    Cheers.

    Hi dthomo82

If you look at our supported TV cards wiki page then you would see:

    In general the TV-Server supports
    # any DVB/ATSC card which has BDA drivers
    # any analog card with hardware encoding on board

In other words, the card should be supported.

    :)
