Yes, I was wondering, too. I just hope that support for 1080p and HDMI are enough to assume support for 50Hz. I hope...

By far not. This does not say anything about frequency. These could be 24, 50 or 60 Hz for 1080p. Additionally even if the interface accepts 50 Hz it does not tell you if the display is operating at 50 Hz also or if the electronic will do some processing similar to 3:2 pulldown which should be avoided qualitywise. Just take a look at all these HDTV sets which sate they are 24Hz capable. Most of them accept a 24 Hz signal but the display still operates at 50 or 60 Hz.

I finally bought the Dell S2409W and I think it is what I was looking for, more or less.
The first monitor was flickering when brightness was reduced but Dell replaced it the next day after I called! I was surprised about this kind of service. The second monitor is good.
Picture Quality is very good for a TN but could be better e.g. more brilliant. But you get what you pay for and I wanted just a small cheap display to accompany my projector. It's more then OK for playing music and have a look at latest photos or weather.
And it really supports 50Hz when in native 1920x1080 (FullHD) resolution! So even watching TV (e.g. news) in Germany is smooth now. 24Hz is not supported but it is to small to watch blu-ray, anyway. For this I have my projector.
