From watching the log, The configuration crashes at this point all the time
[Info.][Config Main]: add DirectInput section
and I can't run the main executable because the MediaPortal.xml doesn't exist so it auto-starts the configuration and hangs at this point - Any ideas what would do this?
I've been hammering away at this for hours with no luck, I've googled and googled, uninstalled, stripped the registry, deleted folders from \application data\ and reinstalled, nothing seems to fix this, I even downloaded the full directx9c redist and reinstalled that. Why is DirectInput crashing my installer?????
PS of relevance I did install a few programs for media centre remotes despite the fact there isn't one connected to this machine, but I removed them after and restarted
