However I would be glad to get some feedback from Vista users as well.

Hate to throw a spanner in the works infinityloop, but no focus on MP start, you have to activate screen by mouse, this does not stop the special function keys from working ie recorded tv, live tv, epg etc on mce remote.

No problem once focus is gained, this is using svn from 29\9, just going to start MP from booting windows to see if anything different.

Will get back and post any error in logs found, but is a not focused window a real error\fault and as such show up in logs anyway.

OK this may automerge, but here goes.

Set MP to start up at boot, focus ok.

If you then shutdown MP and then restart MP, no focus unless activated.

3 reboots were done to test and same result everytime.

Will repeat test with logs if you cannot reproduce.

PD: I think he was referring to Configuration.exe and whether his fix for that worked under Vista. But otherwise nice to have cleared up that the focus of mp.exe fails on Vista as well.

    correct.

since it works in VISTA too, rtv will take a look at implementing this into MediaPortal. (after he got back from his vacation)
