Hi I have two Dvico fusionHDTV DVB-T Lite tuners, and i can set them up in the configuration program, but when i load Media Portal and go to Settings/Setup Wizard, it only ever finds one of the cards.

I have a Pentium 4 3ghz with 1gb ram, plenty of HDD space, and with Windows Media Centre 2005, rollup 2 installed on an XP SP2 machine. All updates are up to date.

On returning to the configuration program, often one of the cards i just configured has disappeared.

I cant find any documentation in the help file referring to configuring 2 cards.

HEEEEEELP!!!!!!

I do not know the answer to your problem, but maybe someone can pick it up if you provide the following:
    1. Normal TV in MP or TV Server?
    2. Attach your logs (including configuration log).

    Hi wallyg

Take it from me, don’t use the setup-wizard it is not supported very well; rather use the Config-Utility like 90% of the users.

As far as the setup-wizard goes, it only supports TV2 and not the new TV3-server. If it is a "bug", like it sounds, then I doubt that it will be fixed as TV2 is in the process of being discontinued.

Hi Rekenaar and Geov, Thanks for that. I did read somewhere in this forum there was some problem using 2 x DVB-T Lite and BDA type tuners with Windows XP, but I cant find it now. The installation of MCE 2005 rollup 2 was supposed to have fixed it, but there you go.

I am able to configure and tune both cards on the config program, but i'm not sure if i'm doing it correctly. I assign both cards to "View and Record", and give one of them a slightly lower priority than the other, i use autoscan on both of them, but somehow i still only end up wih one channel at a time.

    hi wally,

you still really need to post more information, otherwise we can only guess.

I can tell you though, that the problem with identical cards has been resolved with MP for quite some time.

You say that the two cards show up in config, but are they both firmly seated? if there is a hardware or driver issue that causes one card to vanish (IE not properly lugged in or something) then you could see these issues.
Also, TV cards need lots of resources, so if they are sharing then it may even be advisable to try them in different PCI slots and see if that helps. Also, in the BIOS, disable any things you don't use (LPT1, COMa etc) as this may free up more resources.

Seriously, though, post some logs and give us your hardware specs...

What do you mean by 'end up with one channel at a time'?
