<blockquote data-quote="hchrisrose" data-source="post: 681238" data-attributes="member: 108478">Hi,I'm new to this but have been&nbsp; slowly but surely configuring my MediaPortal system with a Server configuration and multiple clients.&nbsp; My Server machine in Windows 7 x64 and I am running TV Server 1.1.1.0 (latest build a few weeks back).&nbsp; I have Windows MCE as my remote with its IR connected to the server machine and the blaster connected over my STB (Scientific Atlanta 8300).&nbsp; The IR blaster was working just fine with Windows Media Center prior to the setup of Media Portal.&nbsp; I decided to install IR Server Suite on the machine and use the TVE3 plugin on the TV Server to allow the remote to control the STB via MediaPortal.&nbsp; I installed the IR Server Suite - Test Build 1.4.2.3664 as that is for 1.1.0 so I figured it is the correct version for my setup.I went through IR Server initial config and it selected Windows MCE as Input and Output (and Windows Messages for some reason).&nbsp; I went in and enable TVE3 in Windows Server Config and as instructed I selected my STB from the list.&nbsp; When I test the Channel selection at the bottom or the key number selections at the top of the config for the plug-in, the IR Blaster flashes as expected but the STB does not respond.&nbsp; I then went in and tried teaching the IR Codes manually to see if my STB was somehow wrongly selected but though it was a breeze to tech it to add buttons, the tests still didnt generate any response to the flashing of the IR blasts.I tried the Debug client also and same result - no problems connecting etc or sending codes but the blasts do nothing on the STB.Am I making some colossally stupid error?PS.&nbsp; I have also imported my STB channels using the SchedulesDirect Client and they all show up&nbsp; just great.&nbsp; However I am stimped as to how you configure them so that when I select them (and not the analog tuner card (Hauppage USB) on the channel list ) it will keep the system using the tuner card and just send the IR code to change channels on the STB on the server.&nbsp; I saw some references to marking these as External but I cant see where this can be done and changing channel on the MediaPortal client just generates a &quot;No tuner available&quot; error so I am sure I do not have the channels correctly configured.</blockquote>
