Using Silverstone lc 16m-s with iMon VFD and iMon PAD remotecontrol.

First of all I`d like to congrat the devs on a product that keeps getting better and better. I have been updating nearly daily from CVS/SVN and using MP for nearly a year. This time around, I`d like to give some feedback for fresh installation.

First, the "look and feel" of the MP installer is a lot better now. It feels more of a retail-product.

In the Wizard, page 5/11, TV-tuning I try to download the tv-channels for my town, cable, but none work. Perhaps the different cable suppliers should have their own download?

The autoscan procedure works ok, but not all channel names are picked up (I guess this is due to lacking teletext), and many channels are stored three times at 3 slightly different frequencies. Perhaps my tuner is to blame?

In the Wizard, page 6/11, Radio - analog I have no sound. This makes it difficult to tune channels by ear.

In the wizard, page 7/11, TV - DVB-T, Norway is missing as a cathegory. Doing a full DVB-T scan is really, really slow. I know that I can edit the xml file but most folks dont. Is there anywhere I can upload my updated xml file so that it is comitted into SVN.

I think that inside the MP setup, some export function would be beneficial for radio channels, music database etc. Having the button would be better than lurching for the appropriate xml file, especially for the common user.

more to come...

Not strange at all since we dont have DVB-T yet in Norway.

But we do :) Where I live, I Have been receiving NRK1, NRK2, TV2 and TVN in the following format:
MUX1:
freq 722000 Hz
bw 8MHz
provider: UNKNWN
channels:NRK1 M1, NRK2 M1, TV2 M1

MUX2:
freq 770000 Hz
bw 8MHz
provider: NORKRING
channels: TV2 M2, TVN M2

All received with a terratec T2, BDA drivers and a el-cheapo in-door dipole antenna. Image is crystal clear, reportedly the same ts that goes to the DVB-S transmission. From what I hear, these transmissions may well continue until late 07 or even 08 when full DVB-T will replace the analog transmissions.

med vennlig hilsen/regards
Knut Inge

Actually, I live near the NRK building in Oslo, but more importantly, I have line of sight to the Tryvann transmitter. I Have heard reports of people living in the town of Moss(!) receiving from the same transmitter, using proper antennas.

I do believe that trial transmissions are taking place in Bergen as well, but I could be mistking Bergen for Trondheim. Check out DVB-T postings at www.avforum.no

I need only my single DVB-T USB 2.0 receiver as the transmissions are not encrypted in any way (for now).

regards
