connect a satellite box to media portal (1 Viewer)

Hello guys, i would like to know, if its possible to connect my digital satellite box to media portal, with my video cable, to the RCA input or Svideo of my tv card.

I have been trying to read something about this, to get the channels with the box, and get the epg, change the channels with irtrans or something similar etc.

Any idea?
