[USER=87577]@netexplorer[/USER]I too am using Windows 8.1, for similar reasons. However, my problem with the CIR driver already started with a Windows Update to Windows 7. I was hoping that the upgrade to 8.1 would fix it, but no joy. Until then I happily used a OneForAll Xsight Touch to emulate the standard Windows MCE RC6 remote for many years. The Xsight Touch still works fine for everything else in my system, and I am hoping it will also work with the FLIRC USB.
