    Hello,

When I play x264 file from within MP, Cuda is not used. (CoreAVC icon is blue, CPU level is high, image stutter).
If I close MP and play the same file from within WMP, it works just like it should...

I didn't find any scenario (like playing the same file twice in MP, reboot, playing file from WMP then from MP, etc.) to make it working from within MP.

    Can anyone confirm?

    Thanks a lot :)

Please report to the CoreAVC codec author. There is nothing that MP does to toggle CUDA on/off. Not sure if the following issue is still open, but based on your comments sounds like it would: CoreCodec Community Forum • View topic - CoreAvc 1.9.5 Won't use CUDA in fullscreen in WMC

Check if running MP in windowed mode allows CUDA to be enabled.

Yes we know about. Yes a fix is being worked on. No it's not a bug in CoreAVC, it's an incompatability with MCE - using a different media player is strongly advised, especially with the breaking changes MS has caused with Win7. Is CoreAVC "USELESS" without it like some people are insisting? No it works perfectly fine in software mode, or windowed mode, or with any other player.
Separate issue: it has been stated several times that CoreAVC does not support windows 7. Please do not submit any tickets relating to it.
Thread closed since I don't see what else is left to discuss.

Somehow that message makes me wonder that if they are just unable to solve the fullscreen related issue (and that same issue is propably happening with MP as well).

Why would someone want to use MCE (or MP) in windowed mode? Or CUDA codec in software mode, there are free ones that do same job (even some DXVA ones) :)

coreavc 2.0 is the only version with cuda support (at least i thought so) and its the most recent version anyway

u need to switch it on in the codec properties if its not already

i have it working perfectly in Win 7 x64 and 32bit also with a 8600gt and 280 gtx ( uses Video Processor - VP2 ) ..so i dont kow what the problem could be

the ION uses VP4 (PureVideo 4 - latest at the moment)
