tried pressing S ?

Also, as a sidenote, did you calibrate pixelratio ?
go to home, settings, calibration, screen calibration

Speaking of the Strech options with the 'S' button, it'd be nice if I could stretch a 4:3 video screen into 16:9. I have a number of things I've downlaoded off the net that were improperly captured at 4:3, when the source material is actually 16:9. Players like BSplayer, MediaPlayer Classic, and Zoom Player already have this option. MP should have this as well.

I looked @ the mpg and I got a very weird image?
    Is it mpg2? or 1?
wmp9 showed me a squashed imaged yes that needs to be stretched.
I Know MP will show this this way then to as we use the same base.
I watched it very fast as I had to go to work.
    Will look again tonight.

Will an option in zoom mode (S) that will have a stretch function 1.33333 be ok? we will call it anamorphic then.
The stretch thats currently in stretches to max width I believe. Not always 1.33333333

    Mr Mario,

It's SVCD so MPEG-2 if you want a MPEG-1 version I can do that for you also.
Another 'S' option may do the trick for now and stretch the height by 1.33333333.
I guess since you have some samples you'll be able to work out the best method with Master Frodo.

    Cheers!

    dman,
    couple of questions.

    1. When I use a pixelratio of 1 all is fine, do you use a pixel ratio?
    2. wich mpeg2 codec do you use

    Mario,

    1. Yes I use pixel ratio correction
    2. Cyberlink Video/SP Decoder that came with PowerDVD5.
Note: I have used Intervideo in the past (WinDVD 6)

    we r looking into this.
Problem is that svcd AR seems to be locked down.
If we wanna change anything the video simply gets resized completely.
So there was an idea for a different approuch.

    don't worry you won't be forgotten :)

    ok,
YOu should not use the powerdvd codecs for mpg2 as they do not allow AR correction. So try intervideo or the free open source MPG2 codec.

Anyway, there have been added 2 new zoommodes and the ZOOM zoommode has been fixed. It did not center correctly.

the 2 new modes are Letterbox 4:3 and Pan&Scan 4:3.
Letterbox shrinks the height of the stream, this is for DVD and svcd
Pan&Scan zooms to max height and stretches the video

Both these modes are most used on mpg2.
So try out the new modes in CVS!

    Your samples show correctly now.
