correct way to associate album art with mp3 (1 Viewer)

What is the correct way to associate album art with mp3 file in MP? I have all mp3 files in one directory, when media is opened in WMP all album art is shown and I also can see the jpg files in the same directory when browsed, hiden system files, long alphanumeric coded names.

I have tried both "use folder.jpg" and embeded in ID3 tag in MP database config and created the database, also I tried enabling audioscrobbler, about 1/2 files show correct image, a few show a bogus image, cover art that should only be associated with a single song, and the rest are blank.

to answer my own question after some searching I discovered that allthough the album art was displayed in WMP it was not imbeded in the ID tags so I followed these instructions and selected "art in ID3 tag" in MP config and hit rescan and it now all looks good
