Cover Art Problem... (1 Viewer)

Hi all.

I wonder if anyone can help me out... when my movingpictures retreives cover art the covers are usually like the retail cover but for example, Casino Royale.... november 25th etc....How do i get it to download the actual retail dvd/bluray covers?

Sorry nokmond, there is not a data source for cover art that I am aware of that distinguishes between DVD Covers and promotional posters. You have a few options, all requiring a little work:

• You could go through your collection in the Movie Manager and select the covers you want (and add a new cover when you can't find one auto downloaded you like).
• You could download the covers you like yourself, name them as cover.jpg, stick them in your movie folders and turn on the option in the config to pick up covers from the movie folder.
• You could download the covers you want, name them %imdb%.jpg and place them in your covers folder.

If you know of a website that makes the distinction between posters and covers, a new scraper script may also be possible. This would require a lot of work, but it would create an importer that automatically pulls the types of images you want.

Thanks mate. I'll hold on and hopefully someone a lot cleverer than me can get something like cdcovers.cc to work somehow!
