10-20% cpu usage with one channel sounds abit high. I have usualy 1-2% (and some small "spikes" 5%) cpu usage with tv engine when timeshifting one SD DVB channel.One possibility is that DVB cards drivers are some what cpu hungry and are causing the high load. Could you check with yask manager how the 10-20% usage is divided between kernel and user space time?
