Hi guys,
I've got a problem with my fathers HTPC. Sorry that I don't have the complete data for his htpc, I'll try to find it out completely.
He has one stand alone system and 3 clients in his house. Everything works fine apart from streaming recorded data.
So don't understand me wrong. Live TV is streamed perfectly through the whole house but when he streams recorded data there is a problem.
Most of the time the stream runs 5-15 minutes (sometimes even longer) and than the stream stops on the client for lets say approximately 20-40 seconds. Most time the sound doesn't stop but only the picture. Than after the pause the lost pictures are shown extremely fast until the stream is running in sync and than the stream goes on normally.
In some less often cases MediaPortal even totally hangs up and you have to kill the thread with good ol' ctrl+alt+del.
We tried many many things and hoped on 1.2.0 rc but it didn't change anything. The problem exists since 1.1.3 I suppose but it could also be all the time. My father isn't as long in business with MP like I am.
I also attached a log from my fathers testing session. He says it happened in the last 5 minutes of the log which he created with debug mode.
The same thing happens with other clients and also mine. I tried my client also with my own server and everything worked like a charm. Oh and it also happens when streaming from the server to its own client.
We tried reinstallation, firewall configurations, streams to different clients, network configuration (dual band / 100mbit / 1000mbit modes ...), reinstallation of windows 7, and and and...
Hope you've got an idea.
Thx.
