Hi there,

I'm having a problem that I've been unable to resolve myself. I use the 12 noon dynamic refresh rate changer by having the appropriate bat file listed for each display rate in the mediaportal config. It's perfect in Mediaportal, when a movie or TV show is selected the refresh rate changes as it should and then switches back to default when finished.

All good, perfect.

But it's also affecting windows/desktop and chrome content too and it's horribly annoying. When browsing the web loading some video files or streaming content will cause the display to change from 60hz to hz..... So the screen will go black and then the display will make the connection again. I've been putting up with it but now it's really causing an issue and slowing down my workflow.

I'm assuming that 12 noon or the RRC is why this is happening. But I switched the RRC off in config yet it still happens.

Completely lost on this one, your help would be so greatly appreciated.

I think it's not only a refresh rate issue, but generally with HMDI connections. I had similar issues, just for me the TV always remained black after I finished watching a movie and the PC wanted to switch back the HMDI connection. I bought an external unit, which I placed between my HTPC and receiver. My problem is solved and the switching time is shorter. But there is still a small delay and I think this can not be prevented.

    Which unit did you buy?

You find it in the link I placed in previous post. I mentioned it somewhere in the middle. The device was much cheaper than the famous one, but works pretty well.
