Ahh.. Well I didn't drop the DB a second time (PITA having to set everything up again for 6 tuners with cams!!)

Working just great at the moment, so I will leave it alone - I have to say though, that 1.2.0 beta does not seem anywhere near as stable as 1.2.0 alpha which doesn't really make sense..

Keep getting odd crashes with the beta, and sometimes trying to restart the TV Service fails and requires a complete system reboot.. Most odd...

Oh.. and yes, channel hopping seems to be considerably quicker now! Hadn't noticed that until you mentioned it!

Im going to go a bit off topic here just hope some one can help I'm in Ireland so recieve around 6 channels over the DVBT system in Windows Mediacentre the EPG was grabbed over the air is there any ways of doing this in Mediaportal or will I have to use xmltv and if I do will it overwrite my settings for this plugin. If I could move the epg from sky plugin to the dvt channels that would work also but not sure on how to do this at all.

You need to re-download the Setup file for TV Server and plugin as stated.

What database system are you using? MySql or MSSQL?

This might be basic stuff, but How do you just download the TV server and plugin without doing a full MP reinstallation?

Well I just downloaded the SVN and the plugin.. Deleted database ( I use MSSQL ) and then just installed SVN over the top, stop the TV Service, then overwrite the plugin and restart TV Service and all worked fine (once DJBlu had uploaded the correct plugin :-p)

Would love to know the meaning of that too, Im scanning 598 but only 100 are going into the groups so I think its a db issue do you know how to drop the database will try this next

You can try running setuptv with startup argument of --delete-db

Example:
setuptv.exe --delete-db

Well I use MSSQL, so I just go into the management studio and delete the database from there..

I think with MYSQL you can just delete the file, and it will be recreated on the next install of the SVN?

No, I deleted the entire database..

MYSQL vs MSSQL: how do I know the one I am using? I dont think I ever made that choice...

You will be running MYSQL.

Run the following to delete your DB :-

setuptv.exe --delete-db

I have found a Database folder at" Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\database".

This folder is full of SQL (.db3) databases (Pictures, Videos, Music, TV series...). However, there is not an specific TV database in there.
Is this the right place to delete the database? Am I climbing the wrong tree again?

sorry psykix, I did not see your post when i wrote my previous one.

So, I have to download mysql and then I assume there will be a command line option to do
setuptv.exe --delete-db

Is this it? Those things might be obvious to developpers, but not that much to standard MP users.
