The major problem with this case was that it was too small for my mother board.

Above is the old motherboard on the left in the tray from the case and on the right it the new motherboard i use in my htpc.

After cutting the try i was able to get the motherboard in it

I then cut the case a little to allow the motherboard to stick out.

Then to make it a desktop case and to stop it scratching what ever its put on i used some stick on pc feet.

A question... since the whole skin will be custom, why you HAVE to use this case?

I didnt buy the case for this project.

Orginaly i had four of these barebone computers

I bought them a few weeks a go and one of them had a faulty motherboard so the case was going to get put in the bin

but then I decided to use the case for my htpc because

1 It was very small
2 I allready had it so i didnt need to spend money
3 I really needed a cheap small pc case for my htpc

Ive got some more stuff in the post over the past week

I got some silent fans but i ordered the wronge size :(

I also got my MDVA this morning

For those of you that have never heard of a MDVA you can read / buy them here http://mashie.org/mdva/index.html

"The MDVA, Mashie Design Visual Audio, is a stereo 7-band audio spectrum analyzer for computers."

That means it turn your audio into patterns displayed on 112 LEDs

I got the lite version and ill be puting it behind tinted acrlyic later.

Here's a video of it (sorry about the audio its a hot day so my fans are going at full speed so the computer wont pause) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQk2B2f1mT4
