customising mouse control (1 Viewer)

I havent been able to find a thread about this, so i'll start a new one.
Ive tried setting up some custom controls in the "keys and sounds" section of configuration. But i cant see how to select a mouse action in the "Key" field.

I'd like to setup my mouse so that, in fullscreen video, left-click is pause, right-click is stop, wheel-up is step-forward and wheel-down is step-back.

Hello, I have been searching for the same thing as you.

I think we just can't specify mouse buttons actions with MP configuration. You'll have to use a software to do that. I got the MX5500 kit with setpoint, so that's not an issue. But for normal mice, and-81 pointed to that: http://www.highrez.co.uk/downloads/XMouseButtonControl.htm

I'm currently tied to a very simple control setup like mouse or keyboard. It just occurred to me that I can probably make use of a Mouse Gesture program like StrokeIt or GMote (both freeware). You can define mouse gestures on a system-wide or application basis, and basically create as many gesture as practically feasible. The only downside for me is that I could see me having to make up a "cheat sheet" for my family because they wouldn't be able to remember the gestures.
