Customize the output? (1 Viewer)

Well, I just have a very, very, very short ;-) suggestion.
Actually I use Joe Dalton's onw HD44780 driver, which is working really great. But it only uses two of four lines. So it would be a great improvement, if I could tell the plugin what to show on which line. So I could add a third line with information about what is coming next (on TV or playlist) or something like that. Or on the home screen a fourth line with the weather data ...
I don't know if there's going to be any more updates for this plugin, but I hope I'm allowed to dream

The output of the plugin is already configurable, but there is no GUI for that (yet). You have to manually edit the externaldisplay.xml to get the other lines working. The old ExternalDisplay thread contains a lot of information on how to do this and what options are available. I know it is a huge thread but until someone is kind enough to extract all information from it and put it in either the wiki or the 'Tips and Tricks' section here, that is the only place where you can find the information.
