Hi there,

I was using MP on standard XP 32-bit pretty much fine and have been trying to get it to work on XP x64 now I have that installed. When I reinstalled using XP x64 (about a month ago) MP seemed to work, it just didn't recognise my Hauppauge HVR1300 MCE card, probably because the 64-bit drivers for the card are some sort of beta version that didn't come directly from Hauppauge.

I just downloaded and installed 0.2RC2 and the CVS mediaportal-cvs-02-27-2006--01-04.rar and did all the other usual things (.NET2.0, Mozilla control, ran the start.bat script file) but the setup wizard either throws an unhandled exception once I've got about 2 screens into it, or refuses to start with the message "Configuration.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close."

Like I said tho, a previous CVS (whatever one I downloaded on the day I installed XP64) seemed to work fine, it just didn't recognise my tuner card. Anyone got any ideas (other than falling back to 32bit XP)?

TIA

I don't think it comes from the 64 bits extensions...

I encountered the same problem with my 32 bits version of XP. I think one of the CVS messed up the mediaportal configuration file, i had to backup my database, my tv channels, grabber configuration and logos, uninstall and reinstall mp and then copy over me files.

Then configuration.exe did the job again...
