CVS Anon access down? (1 Viewer)

For the last 2 days whenever I try to get latest, I get the message:

cvs [checkout aborted]: authorization failed: server cvs.sourceforge.net rejected access to /cvsroot/mediaportal for user anonymous

Is this a server wide problem or just a MP one?

Yeah, I tried to get the codebase on Tuesday evening and had the same problem. I assumed it was a problem that I was having as I had never used WinCVS before but obviously not!

Anyone got any ideas?

I'd like to join in the development and was going to have a look at the radio and playlist functionality.

I don't know about earlier, but worked ok for me with wincvs today

wincvs settings:
module name and path on the server:
mediaportal

CVSRoot:
cvs -dserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/mediaportal

I tried again a few minutes ago and couldn't get it to work with WinCVS.
So I've downloaded TortoiseCVS and followed the instructions and it's getting the code tree now!
Strange!

I'll get compiling soon then and hopefully I'll be onboard with you guys.

I had the same experience: WinCVS and CVS command line wouldn't work, but TortoiseCVS did work. Don't know why. I did get one error message in WinCVS that something related to SSH wasn't working. Not sure if that was a real or mistaken error message...
