I am new to mediportal, but really like what I see.

My questions are about the database. My library has about 1000 movies on a 2 TB array. I'm always adding about 10-15 new movies each week.

Does the movie library update automaticaly? I can not seem to find any way to add new movies short of rescanning all of them.

Is there a third party method of working and cleaning up errors? It would be nice to have an application that I can run on my pc that would allow me to add to the database or change the imdb lookups.

I've seen ant method, and don't think it will work for me.

Any info on the database would be helpful, I may end up writing the application to add/edit info myself.

Thanks in advance

I just didn't really care for the UI. I didn't spend a lot of time playing with it because I didn't think it worked with the main databse. Doesn't it work with a second database or something else?

I've been playing with a coldfusion solution. I know, not good for most anyone but me. I think I may put together a C# program this weekend.

If I do I'll let you know here.

I only have about 200 movies on a hard disk, but the Ant method worked great for me. Set to launch the ISO's into vlc through the movie section of the setup app.

Look, i just installed the lastest svn version and when i copied movies onto the movies directory, only entering again in the movies section, makes the movies appears in the list.

Cheers

Just a bump, as I'm looking at something that can auto-imdb stuff in the background... Been trying out this, and other Media Center applications to try to find something that does this easily, and also parses TV show correctly. (looks like there is a plugin for that with MediaPortal, but I haven't tried it yet.
