G'day.. i was just wondering if mediaportal would support running some components on a network drive..
what im trying to do is have a central point where everyone can access the same data on a network share for information on the viewing educational videos on show around the college.. I edited the MediaPortalDirs.xml to redirect where the directorys (thumbs & database) resided on a network share, but it's unable to pick it up.. looking in the logs generated, it's not giving any errors..
Im doing this on a Novell NSS mapped drive and have full rights to the area. i have also tried doing this with UNC paths
when viewing the database in configuration, i can see that it's reading the information from the new source, just that media portal cant pick it up.
with the type of videos we have running, it's not somthing that IMDB can pick up either..
