    Hi,

maybe this is a dumb idea, but I was wondering if it is possible to install the TV Database on a NAS system, which is providing MySQL support?
I am thinking of upgrading my "old" Qnap Ts201 to an 209II or 409, with native MYsql installed on its system?

Do you guys think this could work?

    cheers

    It works

    Hi,
I have a working config with a mysql-Database on my Synology NAS. It works fine for me. The tv-server creates the database during the install without any problem. If you have more than one tv-server running in the network, you have to give different databasenames during the installation.

Some people have reported problems with the database on a linux system, because the database on windows is not case sensitive and on linux it is with the default settings. But it is possible to change this in the mysql parameters.
