[QUOTE="MeHoo, post: 337711, member: 83531"] So i add a movie to the movies folder, and use my Workstation PC to build the new database with images for coverart, then i have to log into the media center, close mediaportal, go into windows, navigate to the location of the database i copied onto my server, copy the database over the local version, then re-launch MP. Its annoying. Now i'm using the workstation machine because i seem to be lucky and can't get the IMDB search to work at all on the mediacenter after updating, downgrading and re-updating MP to RC3.. so anyways regardless its nicer to do that at my machine than on my couch with a makeshift logitech dinovo mini which doesnt work all that great. I tried running shortcuts to paths on the network but that didn't work. Is there a way to have MP read at least some of the data off the network, or maybe a way to have it auotmatically grab the latest itself when you go into movies so it doesnt have to load it off the server all the time? this goes with the coverart images as well. So then i finally get this all set up and i go to find the latest movie i added into my some-odd 600+ movies and oh.. wait.. I pulled it off an older CD/DVD and the date modified was two years ago so the sort by "date" doesn't work as i want it to and i have to sort by name and find it myself. It would be cool to have an option to change the "sort by" field to date modified or date created. If there are already ways to do either of these please let me know, thanks. The first item of mine would be great if i was running dual media centers in two rooms but wanted to link them to the same database stored on the server. Thanks.
