I think i am being blind Where can I find the log files? Thanks :) Nevermind! I resolved the issue after reading the log file/s from debug mode. It wasn't a media portal issue at all. It was a name resolution issue on the LAN. As my machine has a static IP it hasn't registered its IP address in DNS. Even though I have specified an IP Address in the MediaPortal client config, the log files suggest it is trying to resolve the name still. I assume as part of a connection string or something. Anyway, I added the hostname/IP address to the HOSTS file and now the system is working as I expected :)
