Video playback used to start as fullscreen by default, but after some possible intervention by my little helpers, it now starts by default in the small preview type window in the bottom left (the one that remains visible on all screens like a now playing type of thing)

I don't think this is a bug, more likely a setting that my exploring children have triggered by chance, and I can't find the place to set it back.

I've explored a number of menus, and the configuration but nothing leaps out at me. Searching has also failed because I can't work out a suitable query.

Can I get a hint?

    Hi :)

I do not think there is a setting for how video playback should start.
Please add full debug log files. Maybe it will reveal something.

Well, I'm glad I wasn't just being a bit thick at least :D

I think I'll just reinstall to fix the problem because that will take less time for everyone.

    Thanks.

It might take less time, but then we don't know what went wrong and we can't help anybody with the same problem in the future. :(

Could you at least post logs before you upgrade?
