are you getting a prompt when you try to unzip the file, like somebody password protected it? If so, where did you download xmltv from? The xmltv files from its sourceforge project page (http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=39046) shouldnt be password protected. If it's asking for a certificate code during the setup enter this: JIYO-TQ4O-SBUT. xmltv requires you to sign up with at zap2it.com. it's free, the only thing they make you do is fill out a questionnaire every couple of months.

what exactly is the problem? is there data being displayed in the epg, but the program times are significantly off? If so read this thread:

    To Legolas...

"I have tried this for Dish Network USA setup, but am sure will work
    w/ others."

I am interested in this... Are you just testing with the Dish Network Guide or were you actally hitting dishnetwork satellites and pulling down video. At this point most of us have assumed this does not work.. Any info on this would be great.

I ahven't been using MP lately (using MCE) and hence haven't been
tracking this forum..... hence the late late reply :)

I had connected teh SVideo from DN to the PVR150MCE card for my
setup. So what is the problem?

    Mapping to external Channel

    Hi
I just wanted to add some additional info to this thread so that all XMLTV/
external source control will be in one thread....

If you are using an external cable box/STB and feeding in your video
through composite/Svideo of your capture card, you are not using the
channel changing features of your capture card. You will have to
change the channel # of the external STB. In order to do this, you
need to map the external channel #.

Either you do this manually or do an SQL command.

    -- Use this browser :
    %ProgramFiles%\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Docs\SQLite Database Browser.exe
    -- Open file :
    %ProgramFiles%\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Database\TVDatabaseVxx.DB
    -- Run SQL command :
update channel set bExternal = 1, ExternalChannel = iChannelNr

This will set your the channel # sent to the external STB to your XMLTV
    channel #.

More info can be found in this thread:
    http://nolanparty.com/mediaportal.sourceforge.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6669&highlight=

    Hope that helps
