Hello
I am using the RC3 of Media Portal. the issue i am facing in this version is that my divx, mkv files are taking a very long time to open. e.g. i have a movie encoded in MPEG-4/AVC format its only 700mb when i select it and push play it takes about 30-50 sec to show video.
i am currently using Arcsoft as my H264 decoder. and VMR renderer.
i have tried other decoders such as powerdvd, coreavc, ffdshow. same problem.

Does changing to EVR as renderer make any difference, also is this file local or on a network.

Are you certain that different codecs have been used and not the system default highest merit filter.

Graphstudio should tell you this, also if you open the file in other media player how long does it take, is it just the one file, then maybe run it through mkvmerge which should fix.
