Is there a quicker, easier way to delete a recording other than going through several layers of menu ending with the i button to give me the option of deleting the entry?

(You probably hate MCE/VMC references but on my old VMC there were a couple of extra ways this could be achieved;
a) At the end of watching a recording it automatically popped up a question asking if you wanted to delete it.
b) Once you had seleted the program in Recorded TV you could hit the Clear button on the remote to get an 'Are you sure you wish to delete?' question.

(Using 1.0.0.0 RC1)

    Hello Thornsdale,

you can go to the recordings, select a recording and then press the "0" (Zero) - button on your remote.

I don´t know a way to map the Clear or Delete Button on your remote.

    :D
    Thanks weissollo.

Much easier, but not very intuitive.
Does anyone know how to get the Clear button on the remote to do the same?

Also, the Clean-up button on Recorded TV just says it will delete everything 'This will delete recordings from harddisc' (not very good english). Is that really its purpose?

Do you use the Microsoft Remote?

In the expert Mode you can change the action which is performed when you use a button on the Remote.

Now I found something in the Wiki:

    MediaPortalSetup Remote/MicrosoftMCE - MediaPortal Documentation
Please note: The following buttons can't be remapped using the ?Input Mapping Editor, they are currently handled by the operating system. You can modify them by changing mappings in "Keys and Sounds", but this is not recommended.

This problem will be addressed in a later MediaPortal version. Until then you shouldn't try to touch those buttons, you might experience unexpected behaviour.

    Thanks again weissollo.

Yes, I am using the Microsoft remote.

I've found what you say in MP Configuration, but as you say, the Clear button is one I can't change so I'll stick to the zero button for now.

(And how do you give 'Thanks' in this forum?)
