Hi, i got yesterday my new dell xps notebook :D, which has a express card remote control inside.

the back key is "back space" on the remote instead escape... and the forward, stop, play etc. buttons works only in media player :(

how can i configure the keys, so that will work with MP?

    thx

Any dell application that will configure it?

    EDIT:

Is it a HID device? If so i'll try creating a plugin for it after i sort of the PS3 remote one. (I have an XPS M1530 laptop :))

I don't mean to sound patronising or anything and you are probably already aware of this, but you can simply change the Key in the MP Configuration?

[General] -> [Keys and Sounds] -> [Global Actions] -> [Previous Menu] - > Focus the "Key" textbox by clicking in it and press the backpace key.

    Click "OK" to save?

I mean, the above should work, but I have checked and all the remote is going is registering keyboard events, so anything you do, will affect the keyboard too i think, so it would probably be best (and easiest) to simply do the above.

    Thank you Cheetah05!

I had the same problem on my dell m1330 (and an encyclopedic ignorance about MP) and this solved my problem.
Not sure of this (I was changing many things) but I had to disable (untick in MP config) all the remotes to make it works.

    Regards
