Hello All - This is my first post in this forum. I have a brand new Dell XPS 8100 with the 1250 TV card. Running Win 7 Home Premium 64bit. Of course Dell told me that all would be fine with the new system and my DishNetwork satellite service. WRONG. Hauppague tells me that I need a Win7 v7 installation disk to use Windows Media Center. I didn't get one of those and no one is inclined to send me one. So:Can I use MediaPortal to watch tv from a signal from the satellite reciever?
I just tried to install MediaPortal but no joy. I am very new to this and I am sure I am doing something wrong! After I install it it showed no channels. I guess I am not savy enough to figure out how to get things started. I have looked thru the online documentation and am even more lost than I was when I started.
If one of you MediaPortal gurus has time would you please get me pointed in the right direction?? I have been attempting to get the Windows Media Center to work for days now and I am at the end of my rope!!!
