I am not sure if this is a bug, something I am not doing correctly or just a case of "that's never happened before" but I am having problems getting the program to work with my HD Homerun setup. I have looked for the problem in posts and have been unsuccessful.
According to the Silicon Dust website, I am supposed to change the CaptureCardDefinitions.xml file in the MediaPortal program directory. My problem is that it does not even exist! I have read other posts in this Forum also, and they say to modify this file. I have no file by that name anywhere on my system--I did a search for it on my computer.
I struggled with this and finally decided to uninstall the program and reinstall it. As the program was uninstalling, I was watching the details and noticed that there were many errors as in weather.exe was missing, etc. I was having problems with the weather module also, so I wonder if the program installed everything that it was supposed to.
I installed it again, and still have no CaptureCardDefinitions.xml file in the MediaPortal program directory, or anywhere else. So, like the last time, I wonder what else is missing, and why.
Thanks for your help. I sure do want to use this program, but I am at a standstill. I tried it several months ago, but finally uninstalled it because I was having too many problems getting everything to work. Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated.
I installed this setup as a single-seat setup and was directly connected to the Internet (actually, it is connected to the Internet through wireless to the Internet-connected computer).
