Diamond XtremeTV PVR550 (1 Viewer)

Hello,

I was wondering how well the Diamond XtremeTV PVR550 works with RC2/RC3. I tossed my software card and am looking for a nice hardware card. Newegg has it bundled w/ a FireFly remote. Does anyone have an experience with this.

I am thinking about this card, as it is low profile, which is a must for the custom case that I built. I looked at the Hauppauge low-profile 150 MCE, but no remote.

Any assistance would be appreciated. :?

Yes that card is supported.
The remote is not natively supported in MediaPortal though.

I use this card, with MP and firefly, nice setup with MP as windows shell. Only prob is Beyond media basic, when I start a movie it feels the need to take the focus so I have to open it and close it, then alls well. Don;t seem to matter if MP is always on top. Haven't tried the firefly basic drivers but I suspect these need girder or some such to make them work.

Selection of Always on top in configuration didn't take, one of the risks of using VNC to do this sort of thing. Rechecked it and Beyond Media no longer misbehaving with movies. :lol:
