Difficulty in the start of Skin Editor (1 Viewer)

I don't succeed in starting in any way Skin editor, also checking the directories of destination.
Which directory should I choose?
When start the program they appear me the followings notices:

Correct me if im wrong. But the skin editor is way outdated.

DMD: You can use a ordinary text editor.

Seems like Skin Editor - threads has been popular here this week. The Skin Editor is out of date and does not work with the current Media Portal version.

you can still use the old skin editor for teaching yourself, but it doens't handle things like animations and some other new skin features.
If there is something you are stuck on, it can still be helpful though.
The error you get is because you need to set the actual MP directory in the "MediaPortal Directory" section.

To edit the skins now, you are back with good old Notepad. Just open the XML files in notepad. If you have any questions about something, you can ask here and there should be a lot of people able to help you.
