I am looking for some hardware advice.
I may soon be setting up my own house (scary!) and would like to have digital media players (something like the hauppage mediamvp) dotted around for music and video.
Question 1) Is there any way to connect these devices to the TV portion of either MediaPortal or Vista MediaCenter?
Question 2) What type of hardware is out there that can achieve this ? - I am looking for small noiseless boxes that can play their own music & video (via the network) and that can stream (and maybe control) the TV tuner from MP or WMC..
I don't mind it if the device needs to be hacked around software wise to make it work.. but I really don't know where to start with choosing the right device!
