Digital picture not as fast as analog (1 Viewer)

My media PC uses a Gigabyte GA-MA69GM-S2H m/b using the onboard video. Processor is a 5200. I just use the S-video output to 32" CRT TV. Everything works fine except during fast action. For example, at the end of Spicks & Specks, the credits go from right to left across the bottom of the screen, but you can't read it because the onboard video (I assume) can't keep up with the data. When viewed via the TV's analog tuner, it's very smooth. The same thing happens when watching an AFL game (or any sort of fast action game I presume). The players legs tend to look a bit blurry/ Fred Flintstone-ish if you know what I mean. Via the analog tuner everything looks normal. The digital picture is superior in other respects; no ghosting, better colour. My question is, would a video card cure these minor problems? I'm a bit reluctant to go out and spend bucks, only to find that it's still the same. Any hints/ video card recommendations greatly appreciated.

regards
Graham
