Direct 9x acn't install (1 Viewer)

I have an Acer RL100 running windows 7.

Direct 9x will not install so stopping me getting MP on the system.
I tried installing direct 9x from microsoft but no luck

I am installing under "run as administrator" too.

Any thoughts

I jst had a similar problem with my Win 7 box. Based on this link: Diagnosing basic problems with DirectX, I downloaded Windows DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer from Microsoft from here: Download: DirectX End-User Runtime - Microsoft Download Center - Download Details. Took care of the problem.

This from a total newby, but it worked. Next time I ran the MediaPortalo installer it got pas the DirectX 9.0c issue.
