Direct Access to Movie Database (1 Viewer)

Are there any tools that allow direct access to the Movie Database, like spreadsheet view or query view? Is it an SQL engine? Any info on how to access / update data outside of the MP interface would be appreciated.

If you google for sqllite editor you should find something useable.
