I don't know if this has been requested before, so if it has, please delete my post.
What I'd like is to be able to press 2-4-2 & have MP change the channel of my satellite stb to 242. Currently, it would change it to the 24th channel in the channel list & then change to the 2nd.
I understand how it works & am used to it, but it only works with 2 digits, so I can't quickly go to the 200th channel.

    Hi,

    no totally in my mind. But you can find this setting somewhere in:
    Configure->Television->Channels?
    use index [non US]

    Hopefully you will find it with such a vague description. ;)

    If MP then only accepts 2 digits, please report back. I would then assume its a bug, not to read 3 digits.

    Flip.

    Hi, I don't know if this is the right place, but I have a suggestion for the TV Channel Listings that could help in this case.

    It would be nice to have an additional property for each channel that can be used instead of the index when changing channels.

    Here in Brazil, are not sequential (my city we have 2, 4,5,7,10,12,14... you got the picture), so keying the channel by the index when surfing is not pratical. Keying works for OTA, but fails for external STBs.

    If we could add the actual channel number to the channel and tell MP to use it instead of the index it would be simpler than start adding dummy channels to the line up.
