Due to the hardware design of the M-Play hardware (a single serial-to-usb adapter that controls both the display and the remote hardware)... The only way (currently) to translate the remote input from the unit to MediaPortal actions is to use the CybrDisplay plugin with the VLSys_Mplay driver... The driver takes control of the M-Play hardware when MediaPortal starts, displays MediaPortal status on the display and translates the remote input into MediaPortal actions, and (optionally) returns control of the hardware to the VLSystems software when MediaPortal actions. The remote input translation into MediaPortal commands is configurable from within the driver's advanced configuration in the same manner as with any of the built-in remotes.
