DirecTV - Changing Channels (1 Viewer)

For the life of me I cannot figure out how to change channels through MP for a external DirecTV box.

As I said, I am using DirecTV.

I am using a Happauge PVR150 for the capture via SVideo input

I have a FireFly remote and am sending the signal to the DirectTV box using the
IR blaster that came with the capture card.

It is probably some sort of signal I have to tell MP to send out to the tuner box....

Anyone?

You have to options:
1 - use the "My Blaster"-plugin
2 - use the MCE replacment driver - https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/mce_replacement_plugin-f165.html

However, I do not know if your IR-blaster is supported. Try asking in above sub-forum, and prey for an answer form and-81

DirectTV - changing channels

I don't think the 2 plugins you suggested will work.

MP recognizes my remote when making channel changes and the MP interface shows the channel has been changed, BUT, the DirecTV box is not changing the channel.

I have the IR blaster that came with my remote connected but MP is not issuing the channel change to the box, ot is using the wrong codes.

I need to figure out what codes are that need to be sent to the IR blaster to make the box change channels.

I was using SageTV and Beyond TV prior and these both worked with my current setup.

Anyone using DirectTV and using the IR rather than the serial connection?

DirectTV - Changing Channels

I checked in setup / plugins and found on for the Happauge IR blaster and enabled it.

My remote now changes my DirecTV box!
