DirectX error message (1 Viewer)

I have been using XP SP2 since I have already installed DirectX 9.0c while starting MediaPortal it gave me the
"Please install DirectX 9.0c Current version installed: 4.09.00.0903 MediaPortal cannot run without DirectX 9.0c"
message although using the same version, displayed when I ran dxdiag (a directx dignostics utility) can't understand what to do my setup is:
P IV 3.00 Ghz,
512 MB RAM
XFX NVIDIA GeForce 6200 LE PCIe Adapter
Leadtek Winfast TV2000 XP RM TV Tuner
ATI D101GGC Motherboard
using VLC, or any PVR software can cause problems

dxdiag indicates that you have DirectX 9.0c installed?
