I'm just starting to convert from Beyond TV to mediaportal for my tv viewing (been using mediaportal for all the other functions for a while now). I like using ffdshow on SD tv, but my pc is not up to the task of using ffdshow on HDTV (from HDhomerun). Is there any way to disable ffdshow postprocessing just for HDTV streams/channels? If not would it be possible to have per tuner filter settings developed for a future verions?
Thanks!

I don't know if you can do it in MP, but from within FFDSHOW itself you can disable postprocessing of HD sources:
You can define presets in ffdshow to be used only when certain criteria are met, for example a certain resolution.
So in your case for example you can set the default preset to do no postprocessing at all, and then add an SD preset (With all your SD postprocessing checked and defined), and define the preset to load only if the video height is less than X (Less than 720 for example).

Just note that since the HD is still going thru FFDSHOW (Even though it's not being processed), it will disable hardware acclerated mpeg2 decoding if you have it set in the decoder.

I have this setup for the resizing portion of the processing, but the deinterlacing processing doesn't have that option.

I'm not talking about the "Resize If" section under the "Resize" section. This indeed is valid only for resizing.

What i meant was under "Image Settings" you can add new presets, each with different postprocessing options checked.

I attached an example setup:
I have a "Default" preset and a "DVD" preset. The default preset does no postprocessing and is the default one (Highlighted Bold).
The DVD preset (set to do "BLUR and NR", "Resize" and an avisynth script) is set to be loaded only in case of a DVD resolution (720x480 or 720x576).
