Hi,

I am using Win 8.1, MP 1.7 with a Hauppauge remote 45 button. In parallel I have a Yamaha AV Receiver and there is the problem: The receiver remote seems to be conflicting with the hauppauge remote. Each time I am pushing Yamaha buttons (e.g. Volume up/down) the mediaportal is recognizing this command and performing "previous channel".

I allready tried removing the button from mapping and assigning an unknown ID ("10002") to the previous channel button, but both is not effecting.

I am willing to throw away this function, because is more disgusting that the channel is switching when i have to adjust the AVR volume...

Any idea how to do it?

Here is some log I catched but I am not able to identify the issue.
Use case: Watching a channel and pushing volume up on Yamaha remote. MP is switching to previous channel (RTL).

    Hello Hippo

When you press the volume+ button MP is receiving 0 (zero), which is the hotkey for previous channel. So, try removing the 0 button from mapping.

    Thanks, will check this!

One question: where did you saw it? Is there any mapping table/translation available?

edit: Or is this the command/key? CMD|0|-8587978824368928432~

It could be the batteries going flat. Remotes have a habit of sending incorrect codes when the batteries are weaker. Might be worth trying some new batteries in your avr remote.

removing the 0 button from mapping did not work :/

Are you sure about 0 = Previous Channel?
The MP doc stating F7 as shortcut for prev channel..

I think there is a wording question. but this does not help/fix your problem. In wiki

0 => "last" channel, if you watch 2 channels, you can press "0" to swap between the last 2 channels, on TV remotes this is "flashback", "recall" etc

F7/F8 => previous/next channel, are go to next lower/higher channel number in your EPG group
