display a favicon for the mp websites (1 Viewer)

On many sites on the net you see icons displayed on the left side of the url. So why not display the mp logo on the mp websites (homepage and forum). The wiki already has this icon.

My icon looks like this:

How to do? Just place the file favicon.ico in the server root.

I just tried to use the favicon.ico on a web server. It didn't work.

So here's another way:

1. Get this gif file:

2. Upload it to the webserver
3. Copy this code in the head of all html files

<link rel="icon" type="image/gif" href="favicon.gif">

For the website an icon is shown, but not for the forums.

The icon of the website is located here

and its added to the website via

Maybe someone can also add it to the forums, please.
