DNTV Dual Hybrid S3 (1 Viewer)

Hi everyone. I am in the market for a new DVB-T card as my current one (Fusion HDTV Lite) is on it's last legs and has started causing my tv server to reboot at random times. Anyway im in Australia and have been reading that the DNTV Dual Hybrid S2 seems to be a great card. I noticed on the DigitalNow website that the new S3 is out and was wanting to hear any feedback from people using this card in MP, RC3 preferably. I will only be using this card for digital so I don't care whether analogue or FM don't work in MP. Any comments would be much appreciated before I commit to purchasing this card.

I can't comment on the S3, but I had the previous S2 one.

UPDATE: I ended up ordering one of these cards and they are an excellent purchase. Setup was quick and easy and I had no problems getting it working in Mediaportal RC3. Also DigitalNow where I ordered from had the thing delivered to me in less than 24hours, you can't ask for any better service than that!!

I bought a DNTV PCIE S3 on what i've read in the forums but it won't detect for me. Anyone have any tricks?

Which version of mediaportal are you using?

Can anyone confirm please if the new DNTV S3 card works in MP RC2. I was looking to purchase the card as I need one with PCIx1 interface. I cannot go RC3 at the moment due to other plugins I am using, which are not working with RC3 yet.

I am running just the single TV card using the multi seat setup. I have never looked back since going multi seat, and I will soon be building a small/silent HTPC for running the MP client.

Back on topic...

I just bought a DigitalNOW DNTV PCI S3 and it aint completely working on MediaPortal 1.0.0

The DNTV card has both dual analogue and dual digital tuners.

Out of the two Digital Tuners, one will not find channels or function. Analogue doesn't seem to find any channels at all.

Also there is a bug with MediaPortal TVServer channel scanner - or maybe this is caused by the card. If you scan for analogue channels, TVServer gets stuck on the analogue dialog box - and shows it for all menus.

Has anyone had success with DigitalNOW DNTV PCI S3 on mediaportal 1.0.0.0? (maybe I need to try R3)

I'm using XP Pro, all updates, latest MP.
